Jacqueline R. Close, MTCM, EAMP, DCEM is a highly skilled and licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and a certified Medical Qigong instructor and practitioner. She has dedicated her life’s work to helping people like you get well and stay well naturally.

She has successfully treated thousands of patients with a variety of conditions, including and not limited to chronic pain, digestive disorders, allergies, sinus conditions, headaches, tendonitis, PMS, menstrual issues, fertility issues, insomnia, autoimmune diseases, stress, anxiety, and depression.

Jackie is dedicated to empowering her patients with self-healing techniques and providing them with the tools to enhance their own recovery. She is currently concentrating on medical qigong, the aspect of Chinese medicine that can be easily learned and can significantly improve patients' health.

In 2024, having spent 22 years in private practice and completed a five-year doctorate program in Chinese Energetic Medicine, Jackie chose to leave the conventional clinical environment to follow a path that offered a more profound sense of healing. In her quest to understand the origins of the medicine she deeply cherishes, she immersed herself in qigong (energy skill), one of the four pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This comprehensive system includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, qigong, and nutrition, all integrated to foster holistic health.

Jackie embarked on her qigong journey in 2006, mastering various styles which she eventually became qualified to instruct. By 2013, she had earned certification to teach Muscle-Tendon Change Classic, Eight Pieces of Brocade, and the Eighteen Hands of Luohan. Jackie sought to enhance her understanding and practice of qigong, initiating her study and practice of Medical Qigong in 2012. In 2016, she concluded a two-year Medical Qigong teacher training at the Institute of Qigong and Integrative Medicine (IQ&IM) and earned certification as a Yi Ren® Qigong instructor. In 2019, Jackie advanced her study of Chinese medicine by learning from Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, one of the most renowned Qigong Masters. She earned her Doctorate of Chinese Energetic Medicine (DCEM), specializing in medical qigong, in 2024 at Bian Hua Gong, the Temple of Change and Transformation.

Alongside her qigong practice and training, Jackie possesses a profound understanding of Chinese medicine. She earned her master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2002 from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NIAOM), an accredited school where she received comprehensive training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, and various therapeutic techniques. Over a span of 22 years, from 2002 to 2024, Jackie treated more than 2000 patients annually. She discovered that incorporating qigong into her patients' treatment plans led to significant improvements, prompting her to focus on teaching this powerful art form and primarily using qigong for patient care.

Adding to her knowledge and experience in Chinese medicine, Jackie has pursued in-depth studies with Dr. Richard Tan, OMD, mastering a style of acupuncture known as the balance method. This method's principles align well with those of qigong. She was also a member of the board of directors at the Institute of Qigong and Integrative Medicine between 2014 and 2018, serving as both Secretary and President during her tenure. Jackie has also been certified to teach Tai Chi under the masterful instruction of Sifu Harinder Singh. She is currently teaching Life Force Tai Chi™ The Energy Body Workout.

Jackie earned a Bachelor of Science in psychology and biology from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, in 1997. She has board certification from the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and holds a state license in Washington.

Jackie aims to empower individuals to take control of their health and cultivate a balanced lifestyle enriched by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
